About Me

I have dedicated my adult life to making sure that all children attend a school where they feel safe, challenged, and connected and have teachers who are passionate about their content and are committed to the success of every student.

I’ve lived in Saratoga Springs for 14 years with my husband and son. Our son has thrived in this community, largely because of the educators, coaches and community members who have been, and continue to be, a positive presence in his life. My desire to utilize my experiences as an educator to serve my own community led me to run for a seat on the Board of Education three years ago. I have been, and continue to be, committed to making our district one where all students can be successful and feel connected to their school.

I grew up outside of Boston, graduated from Cornell, earned a Master’s in Education from Harvard, and completed my Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. I’m currently an associate professor of teacher education at SUNY Empire State College.  In my free time I enjoy biking, swimming, hiking, photography, and walking our two dogs.
